Troubleshooting

Why can’t I see effects on the canvas or why does it appear blank?

This issue can be caused by several factors.

First, check your effect property settings. Some properties depend on others to produce visible results. For example, in Glass, if Distortion is set to 0, then Dispersion will not be visible even if it is set to 1, because dispersion relies on distortion strength.

If the screen appears black, it’s usually because the media hasn’t rendered in time. Adjusting any property should restore it.

If the above solutions don’t work, try reloading your Framer project.

Regardless, effects will always render correctly in Preview and on the published site. Sometimes, the Framer canvas may fail to display components properly due to heavy content or performance limits, but this won’t affect the final result.

Why do effects take a long time to load on the website?

This mainly depends on the size of your media. High-quality images or videos naturally require longer loading times. You can use the onLoad event in Framer Components to display a loading state until the effect is ready.

Reveals components are optimized for web loading and performance, so their own load time is negligible. If you still encounter issues, please reach out at x.com/jayzhushi.
